Attacks on Muslims flood mainstream after Mamdani win Openly racist rhetoric has become normalized at the highest levels of American politics.

We should all be disgusted by the flood of anti-Muslim remarks spewed in the aftermath of Zohran Mamdani’s victory in the NYC mayoral primary — some blatant, others latent.

Shame on the members of Congress who have engaged in such bigotry and anyone who doesn’t challenge it.

applying for jobs again

On Administrative Professionals Day, I was told to vacate my office of seven years to make room for more managers.

During Employee Appreciation Week, I am told that I will not longer have healthcare by the end of the month.

What’s the point in staying somewhere long term.

I can’t wait for the day to come where I outlive that one guy. I hope it comes soon! 🥰

So a gentle reminder that your employers are not your friends. Don’t work too hard. It isn’t worth it or worth anything really. There’s no reward waiting. Take care of yourself first and foremost. 12/13

Within two months I’ve been promoted and demoted. My old boss off to live her best life while the person who helped her get there is left behind. My self-worth rollercoastering from I’m important to receive this promotion to regulated doorstop. 11/13

I tried to bargain. If they wouldn’t let me have an office any longer then could I work from home part of the week? No. The reason? They need someone to open the door everyday. 10/13

I tried fighting for my office. I let the new owners know how unhappy I was. It didn’t matter. I was given the ultimatum of no office or a pay cut. 9/13

That is not my job.
My office is the only thing I have left. I can’t leave to take lunch anywhere so, over the years as the office space was slowly taken over, I’m stuck in my office eating lunch. Now I’ll have to eat in the open. 8/13

Two months have gone by and the people taking over the office in my boss’ old role want to keep me on, with the exception that I’m being kicked from my office space. I’ve had an office with a window and a door since I got hired. Now I’m being regulated to receptionist, out in the hallway. 7/13
