Batgirl had a good night! And she took all of her meds this morning so things are looking much, much better than yesterday at this time. Still not sure exactly what is going on but we're so grateful for her progress. (this is an old photo of her and Jupiter that we love!)

They live inside the "bunny barn" where people have to either take off their outside shoes or disinfect them before coming in. Any new rabbits have to spend a long quarantine period in a separate building before coming into the bunny barn, so it's nearly impossible that it's something contagious. 👍

Batgirl is home! We’re still not sure what’s going on with her, but she is on antibiotics, pain control, and an appetite stimulant. We are watching her very carefully. And just as important as any medication is the love and care she gets from her best friend Jupiter. 💕

We are still getting to know them and their handling, and working out the best way to get into a routine with them. The halters they came with (which you see in the video) have now been replaced with safer break-away ones and we'll work toward getting rid of them completely.

Please keep sweet Batgirl in your thoughts and heart. She did not take her morning treat like she usually does so we started her on critical care and rushed her to the vet because her temperature was very low. Dr Sarah says the next 24 hours will be very critical💕

Gracie came to us as an adult last winter after a kind man found her wandering outside and saved her. Even though he had a back injury he worked so hard in the winter cold to build her a temporary home to save her from predators and cars until he was able to connect with us. 🥰

Most of our turkeys can be pretty sassy at times, but not Gracie. She is the sweetest, calmest girl and just wanders peacefully in the barnyard all day, quietly observing everyone. ☺️

Yes. Many people in the rescue community had voiced concerns about that place but were accused of being "bullies". Laws across the country need to be strengthened so it doesn't take animals literally starving to death before action is taken against bogus rescues and sanctuaries. 😢

Our wonderful new mini donkey, Josie, is 45 years old! That is very old for her species but she is still loving life. 🥰

We had an unscheduled guest in the barn yesterday. While we normally love having visitors, this one was in danger of being mistaken for a delicious leaf snack so they were escorted to a safe distance. 🥬🥰
