Edna wants out and says she’s ready to join the full family. We are currently negotiating terms, one of which is no jumping fences! The other is no joining with Jenna and creating some sort of horned army.

Jenna and Edna have now met and their first meeting was very cute. Just two new friends touching noses. Jenna seems to be handling the arrival of another horn head with grace.

Whenever we have a new rescue, everyone gets impatient to meet the newcomer and tries to sneak a peak. Edna the goat has been no exception. They sometimes go to great (and impressive) lengths to get a view undetected. Can you find who is peaking at her in the third picture?

It’s International Hug Charlotte day, Charlotte will be waiting! Maybe I just made that up…

Who could abandoned this girl in the middle of the woods and leave her to die? Isn’t Edna just the cutest and sweetest girl?

Quincy is a patient father. Little Rachel is fascinated by Quincy’s caruncles (the folds on his neck) and Quincy doesn’t seem to mind his curious pecks - though he wouldn’t put up with it from anyone else.

Before we make the big announcement and share our new rescue’s story, Jenna wanted to remind everyone that she is here and would like the focus not to get too far off of the real star and diva. So for a moment can we all let Jenna be our focus.

GOAT Rescue In PROGRESS! And he is going to need some serious care once we get him. He has been living in the wild for the last few months and been seen by hikers about 2-3 miles back on a remote trail.

I can’t stop imagining the inside of a recycling plant actually being a bunch of baby turkeys pecking away at everything. Charlie and Louisa would be excellent employees I’m sure.

We love all the interesting positions that the pigs fall asleep in together. Mother and daughter pair Pumpkin and Charlotte have slept together every night of Charlotte’s life (8 years!) so we have seen a lot of things… but this mutual bottom touching was a new one 😆

Jenna doesn’t think rules apply to her.

Poor Huckleberry! He had his neuter surgery and he did not enjoy it at all. All went well, and he is recovering now. But, he is definitely in pain now and it’ll be nice once he feels better again. Unfortunately, we couldn’t risk Bonnie or Piper either getting pregnant.
