Some sales. Some sponsorship and commercial deals. We haven't really been active the last few seasons. As you can see below. The last five years or so we have been quiet. Building up a war chest. This won't happen again next year. 100%

Haha he walked up there talking like stephen graham and suddenly sounded like Pablo Escobar

Get as much as they can for him and cut all ties.

I saw some of that. I don't know any actual scousers who were burning shirts but I did see some of our fanbase going down that road. I was disappointed like but honestly, I wasn't that bothered. Bothered me more when he spoke fluent Spanish on the telly and it was clear he had been planning it.

🤣🤣 He left when he was out of contract. Madrid didn't take anything. But I see your point, there was a lot of people fuming.

Lad, if Liverpool were planning on shelling out 150, they would have already offered it. I'm saying 120/130 maximum.
And even that is good business for an asset who won't play
12.08.2025 11:15 — 👍 1 🔁 0 💬 1 📌 0
Slightly different though. Trent wanted to leave two years ago. (He was even learning Spanish on the sly). He didn't try to force it and left on a free when his contract elapsed. (In fact we got about 10 million quid for him leaving 12 weeks early) Not a bad bit of business.

This is a concern among some of our fan based but Liverpool have a stronger internal structure than NUFC at the moment and I imagine the situation would be handled better. That being said, it is still a real possibility.
12.08.2025 11:05 — 👍 2 🔁 0 💬 1 📌 0
Hence the point in this leak to the journos. Half of the NUFC fans want him gone after reading that. They will be more open to him leaving now. All a game.

I'm guilty of hypocrisy here because I want the player but if it was our player going the other way, I would be livid.
...but I wouldn't be trying to keep him.

I am the same when it comes to my club mate. Don't want to be here? Grab your coat. No player bigger than the club.
12.08.2025 10:39 — 👍 0 🔁 0 💬 1 📌 0
I have no doubt that you are right. Ostrasize the player to your fans to the point of no return. Make the sale palatable.
Absolute smokescreen.
I'm a Kopite but this whole thing is absolutely shambolic
12.08.2025 10:37 — 👍 0 🔁 0 💬 0 📌 0
We won't pay the price and we know that and PIF know that and the toon army know it. I suspect this has been leaked to the press so that NUFC supporters turn on Isak and then that makes selling him more palatable.
12.08.2025 10:35 — 👍 0 🔁 0 💬 2 📌 0
Same. I actually feel for NUFC. Always liked the club and really like Eddie Howe. The internal structure of the higher ups at the club is shambolic. It has led to poor communication, broken promises and now this mess. Awful situation for all concerned.
12.08.2025 10:32 — 👍 0 🔁 0 💬 1 📌 0
It wasn't a hijack. LFC had more pull and moved faster.
We are not trading Pokemon cards here, it is business. (Just like when we have lost out on players in the past)

🤣
12.08.2025 10:27 — 👍 1 🔁 0 💬 0 📌 0
PIF are businessmen and they have an asset that will quickly deprecate in value if not used. We as fans are very emotional about this kind of thing, owners are not. They will sell. Just a matter of pricing
12.08.2025 10:25 — 👍 0 🔁 0 💬 0 📌 0
It's a sticky one. If Isak can prove any mistreatment by NUFC or PIF, there are ways to nullify the contract. If it went that way, NUFC could technically not even get a transfer fee for him. The whole thing would be dragged through courts. It just isn't worth the risk.

Dom stays put. I wouldn't even do a straight swap deal. He is crucial to our midfield.

Well I haven't spoken to Virg since yesterday. You know how he is for leaving people on read.
10.08.2025 18:13 — 👍 2 🔁 0 💬 0 📌 0
Yeah first half was strong. Second we were awful. Not because of our attacking options but our defense was inconsistent. Even Virgil looked off today. Just needs a few back up options in those positions.
10.08.2025 18:02 — 👍 0 🔁 0 💬 0 📌 0
Agreed. Not a move I approve of.
10.08.2025 17:23 — 👍 1 🔁 0 💬 2 📌 0
We have been looking at him most of the season so maybe. Need two I reckon. Our depth there isnt good
10.08.2025 17:19 — 👍 0 🔁 0 💬 1 📌 0
No proper DM? Did you not see Gravenberch in that position last year? He was incredible.
10.08.2025 17:08 — 👍 0 🔁 0 💬 1 📌 0
Every kopite I know isnt even talking about Isak right now. We are all talking about defensive reinforcements. He aint the be all and end all for LFC the way he is for NUFC
10.08.2025 17:03 — 👍 0 🔁 0 💬 2 📌 0
I get that. I had a tweet that made it to different platforms once. It was everywhere. Recognition is important.

And i have just used it in WhatsApps to friends and family with the same level of dishonestly. I will cite my source if i'm asked.

I agree but marquee signings were never our thing prior to this season. We have always developed talent.
I think Openda would be a good shout and if Elliot is leaving, he could be part of a deal there.
I would like Isak but his price tag, injury record etc is a worry
09.08.2025 12:20 — 👍 1 🔁 0 💬 0 📌 0
I'd rather just know one way or another. He isn't essential to our success as a club but would be a nice addition. Sick of the saga mate.

Sticking my nose in? This is an open forum to discuss whatever the issues of the day are. I wasn't even talking to you, you got involved with the rational and civilised conversation I was having with another poster. It seems that you are sticking your nose in.
