Inuit-owned coffee company open for business in Cambridge Bay | CBC News On Sunday, the community of Cambridge Bay got to taste and buy coffee from their own coffee company for the very first time.

Today I'm promoting Kaapittiaq.

It's a business owned by the Kitikmeot Heritage Society run by elders in Cambridge Bay. The beans are sourced from direct trade with Indigenous farmers in Peru. Profits go to the Heritage Society itself. It's good coffee!

so i'm going to leave town for a week or so and not bring my laptop.

today is a milestone for me.

for the first time in at least 2 years, i woke up at ~4:45am like I do every day... and somehow was able to fall asleep again and woke up at ~6:30am.

is this sleeping in? feels nice but I almost feel like I lost a huge part of my day... weird.

I think I was 13 when I decided high school was not my thing and enrolled in UAS-K. One of the things you got when you enrolled in a math class was access to the VAX - and to bitnet and usenet. Things went down hill from there. (jk I love my weird old servers)
