I’m not even confident there will be elections in the near future. The USA is in a terrible place right now. That is the direct fault of republicans. But the democrats certainly didn’t do anything to help, and I don’t trust for that to change.

We deserve better than him. There are better choices. There are even good choices. But the current Democratic Party leadership doesn’t care about the left. They care about the mythical right that they can convert, which doesn’t exist uu-uu and only alienates leftists.

This is why Newsom being the likely 2028 candidate sucks so bad. He hates homeless people. He hates trans people. He supports Israel (or at least is not pro-Palestine). He goes on podcasts with grifters. He is a centrist at best. Him winning is better than others but is not strictly good

I knew how bad trump would be. That’s all I cared about. But for plenty of people, that’s not enough. And that’s fair! The status quo was also bad! Don’t make yourself the lesser evil of two options, make yourself the GOOD choice.

I voted for Kamala, but I’m never going to rag on left leaning people who didn’t (ok not never never but rarely). It is the candidates job to get people to vote for them. Not being trump is a big plus but it is not enough. You need to convince people. You need to be worth it.
