I'm trying to use Bluesky to sell tickets to my comedy special taping. Don't make me promote on Twitter. I'd rather have an empty house. But it'd be so much nicer if it were full.

It is good, darn it! Infectious good music that changed musical theater. Changed character casting. Got people interested in history. It doesn’t need to be perfect in its historical accuracy—that’s not its job.

All the flights I’ve been on lately have gotten rid of screens and just offer in-flight entertainment you watch on your own device.

Don’t be afraid of decency! We gotta lean into this hard and make it normal.

All the years when you could tune out election cycles in the U.S. seem quaint now. Too much at stake now.

Tracker trailers?

That and prices shot up.

And why should someone have a month’s worth of groceries just stocked away…? Is that a normal thing to him?

Advice to Youths:

At 30 - Knowing no Japanese, I quit my job and moved to Japan.

At 40 - Started working in comics, a medium I loved. I now have 2 Eisner Awards.

At 50 - Took up fencing, having never done a sport. I now have 2 silver medals.

You are finished when you decide you are finished.

Things are so mean-spirited right now, this made me tear up. In the gratuitously cruel age of Donald Trump, Ted Cruz, and Mike Johnson, it's comforting to be reminded that there still are decent human beings that walk amongst us. Thank you, Heretic Coffee in Portland.

An E.P.A. Plan to Kill a Major Climate Rule Is Worrying Business Leaders

The Edison Electric Institute (represents the incumbent electric power industry) and the American Petroleum Institute are both officially opposed to repeal of the E.P.A. endangerment finding on CO2 because its absence will leave their businesses open to lawsuits and a messy patchwork of state regs.

I don’t know either, but anecdotally I’ve generally seen employers pay some or all of the employee’s insurance and then the employee has to kick in for family members. However, I would think turnover and salary issues would balance out if insurance was not tied to employment at all.
