Things are so mean-spirited right now, this made me tear up. In the gratuitously cruel age of Donald Trump, Ted Cruz, and Mike Johnson, it's comforting to be reminded that there still are decent human beings that walk amongst us. Thank you, Heretic Coffee in Portland.

An E.P.A. Plan to Kill a Major Climate Rule Is Worrying Business Leaders

The Edison Electric Institute (represents the incumbent electric power industry) and the American Petroleum Institute are both officially opposed to repeal of the E.P.A. endangerment finding on CO2 because its absence will leave their businesses open to lawsuits and a messy patchwork of state regs.

I don’t know either, but anecdotally I’ve generally seen employers pay some or all of the employee’s insurance and then the employee has to kick in for family members. However, I would think turnover and salary issues would balance out if insurance was not tied to employment at all.
