Yes, went through that in CT with my son, but the primary concern seemed generally that it’s not done to avoid legal liability and, with a minor, basically that everyone is on board. They asked why, but we were vague.

Yes, I understand what happened. I am suggesting something else. You can change your name to just about anything but a digit in many places, just because you want to.
