Just a reminder, when I say that I write dark, taboo, spicy fiction, a lot of the time, that includes heavy themes of incest... which are more often than not eroticized in the stories from the people involved who are usually the POV characters. If you don't like reading that, then skip that story.

I've been lucky to have had many a kindness from strangers in my life, but this one sticks out the most. To take a stranger in when you yourself don't have power? Drive 45 minutes to drop them off? The dad had me call them when I arrived home safely too.

Years and years ago I was traveling by bus back to Fredericton, NB in winter. Freezing rain, 17 hr trip, just a nightmare. I got stranded at midnight in Bangor, everything closed + power outages.
Strangers picking up their son took me in, made up a bed, fed me, and drove me back in the AM.

I pulled up next to one at 10:17am yesterday an snapped a photo. By 10:27 the agents I photographed were in front of my house, along with another vehicle that met them there. It's a 10 minute drive from where I took the photo to my house - so they got the data *instantly*
