I just love cats, and I’d love to have one or two. But I don’t like the idea of cats confined to the house (I know many cats live happily like that, just my preference) and I’m not going to inflict a highly-efficient predator on my backyard bird feeders.

I’m 66, retired, liberal, and queer, and I have little tolerance for racism, homophobia, or MAGA nonsense. I don’t need some kind of Thanksgiving meltdown with strangers. So I would be a little concerned about participating in this. Ageism? Well, OK, but I’m old.

A few Decembers ago I decided to drive across Canada in the cold, because I’m a Georgia boy and hadn’t experienced it. I drove from Sault St. Marie to Banff National Park. I made across that but the weather became more ominous, so I turned south and headed back home.

I would help if I could, but since a couple of weeks ago all my puppy pictures share the same flaw as your freezer photos. 🥺

I spent a day taking pictures in Saskatoon a couple of years ago. I would do it again.

I took this photograph in Montezuma, Georgia using a 1940s Elgeet 4” lens. This is a quite peculiar old lens, very beautifully made and at its sharpest when shot wide open at f4. Hey, Bluesky, be sure that nobody sees this, ok?
