Bei visuell-räumlichem Denken ist normalerweise die rechte Gehirnhälfte dominant. Man könnte daher meinen: Gebärdensprache wird eher rechts verarbeitet. Das stimmt aber nicht. Genau wie bei gesprochener Sprache sind die Sprachzentren in der linken Gehirnhälfte aktiv.
