I vividly remember when the World Social Forum was held in Brazil in 2001, having to inform naive Lula-loving liberals that it was his police that were beating leftists in the streets.

Folks feeling pretty good after the first day of arguments in the Prairieland trial! The prosecution's opening arguments were long and meandering. Importantly, they spent a lot of time talking about political beliefs and first amendment activities as evidence of their fantastical conspiracy.
