V5 is, in my opinion, a streamlined mechanical system that is easier to teach to new players. And while they’ve retconned chinks of previous lore (yay for unreliable narrator shenanigans), it is pretty open enough to pull elements from previous editions…

Aaaaah. I am using an iPhone emoji that is a pink heart, so that may not translate if you’re using a different operating system.
But this is another layer to the problem. That symbol will be read out as a different code, so strips any context for the symbol.

Now imagine if you have a more complex emoji as your bullet point.
It delays getting to the point. What takes a sighted person with no cognitive difficulties a fraction of a second to assess the contextual meaning of that emoji image, will take someone using a screen reader longer to hear.

The way it causes delay is, if you’re using a screen reader, you will hear it like this:

Pink heart emoji this is a third bullet point

Not quite. I’m sure you’ve seen copy in posts like this:

Did you know?
Using emojis as bullet points in your social media posts and emails can be an accessibility nightmare for those using screen readers?
The reader will “read out” each emoji using its description, causing massive delays to the read.
Use Unicode bullets (* or -) instead.

Also, you know what would be super helpful? A search in the “Pick advantages & flaws” section. Coz there’s a lot and some of us make a lot of characters and just want to get it done.

I have also noticed that in some steps of the character creation process, the explanation text box that opens up isn’t repo since to the window size. Case in point: the “disciplines description” box here doesn’t wrap to the size of the window like it doesn’t elsewhere in the creation process.
