OK, and then, after the DNC hosed him for the second time, what did he do? He labored tirelessly to deliver that energy he’d mobilized back to the status quo.
And that’s the indispensable role he serves.
But sure, I’m the “disgusting” one for pointing that out.
The Bernies and the AOCs serve an indispensable role in the empire, inasmuch as they create the illusion of aspirationally leftward pull, but within the framework of sanctioned electoral politics, thus defusing a sizable portion of the energy that might be truly disruptive.

You left us on January 21, 2021; and the universe darkened just a little bit.
I wasn’t ready then; and I still haven’t figured out how to say goodbye.
Love you, Pop.
The older I get, the less confident I am that there is such a thing as “healing” from your emotional traumas, as opposed to simply getting better at navigating the world with them.

25.12.2023 03:01 — 👍 2 🔁 0 💬 0 📌 0The image is a humorous mashup of two movie posters: "Die Hard" and "Home Alone." It features the face of Bruce Willis from "Die Hard" on the left with an exploding building, juxtaposed with Macaulay Culkin's character from "Home Alone" looking shocked with his hands on his cheeks. The text "DIE" from the "Die Hard" poster and "ALONE" from the "Home Alone" poster are combined to read "DIE ALONE," creating a playful blend of the two films' titles. The poster suggests a nonexistent crossover film and carries a comedic tagline, blending the themes of action and family comedy.
You’ve heard of Barbenheimer, but have you heard of …

Everyone always talks about completing the system of German Idealism.
I’m more interested in completing the system of German empiricism.

I'm super proud of this piece. I wrote it with a student this past summer, and it focuses on Derrida's Theory and Practice Seminar.
