This is no shade on PTA. I love OBAA and I wouldn’t be mad if he got his overdue Oscar.

But to put this in finer perspective, when he gets his inevitable Best Director nod for OBAA, it’ll be his FOURTH. That’s 2-3 less nods than Black directors have received combined in the history of the Oscars.

Jenkins is the only Black person to receive any nomination for a film he directed following a Best Director nod.

So generally, it’s hard for Black directors to get any kind of recognition even after being nominated for Best Director much less getting another Best Director nod.

Of the six Black Best Director nominees: John Singleton, Lee Daniels, Steve McQueen, Barry Jenkins, Spike Lee, and Jordan Peele—only two have received any nomination since their best director nod. Jenkins in screenplay for BEALE STREET and Peele for Best Picture as a producer on BLACKKKLANSMAN.

I brought these stats up at the other place but consider this: Not only has there only been six Black directors nominated for Best Director (all of them men), there’s never been a two-time nominee in that category.

60fps for most games is a huge selling point for me and is whats going to get me to get one next year hopefully.

The diminishing returns get smaller every year. Unless you're playing on a 4K TV from insanely close and care about ray tracing most games look and run well on most displays.

I think the big advancements for gaming are going to continue to be in the hand held space
