Yeah take your point, and a good note to self to read papers that confirm biases as those which conflict! Also as you say definitely the case that there is plenty of evidence in favour. I looked up some after a very good @drhskelton.bsky.social talk on it at @researchedmk.bsky.social

I do enjoy a provocative talk and @michaelfordham.bsky.social's somewhat nihilistic take at @researchedmk.bsky.social on the National Curriculum has been no disappointment. Right on the money with the Curriculum and Assessment Review going on.

Loved the healthy dose of irreverence and reassurance with regard to evidence-informed practice from @mikehobbiss.bsky.social and Paul Cline (is he on here?) at @researchedmk.bsky.social. Particularly enjoyed the point that lethal mutations are not, in fact, lethal.
