“What was that sound…?”

Her glacial eyes turn to look as she hears a growl from ‘something’ nearby.

Her spiritual pressure began to fluctuate wildly, uncontrollably so as the air began to frost.

“Asked what? I told you I didn’t want to have a conversation about parental figures and here you go blathering on about your grandpa training you and you have all these magical abilities…!”

She gestured with her hands wildly.

Yuki had enough of this conversation talking about parents, grandparents and the like.

“Good for you…” she flexed her jaw with the back of her hand causing it to pop.

“If you’ll excuse me now… I have some training to do… some of us don’t have that bred into our genes…”

“I’m not going to apologize because you sounded arrogant.”

She waves her hand dismissively at them.

“I was an orphan, a street kid… so I’m not sure what it’s like to have family. And honestly, I don’t want to have a conversation about parental figures…”

There was a bitter look in her eyes.

“So you mean to say, you are genetically gifted to use magic. You have an inherent ability to use it.. you should have lead with that. The way you said it made you out to be a douchebag… though I’m still on the fence with that one…”

She looks at them with a slight narrowed gaze.

“So you are a spoiled brat? That’s what I’m hearing from that mouth.”

“What the hell is that supposed to mean?”

She looks away, the cigarette half burned from her lips.

She stared at him, her eyes were a frosty blue and she gave him a deep, cold glare.

She plucked the cigarette from her lips letting a thick plume of smoke drift off her lips.

“I serve and protect the Human World from Hollows. That is my existence…here.”
