Need to get some generals on side. Military coup to restore democracy is how that normally goes. If you're lucky you can avoid the decades of military dictatorship that often comes after...

Democratic leadership should be sharing office space and constituent service staff etc and walking with her to vote from the floor etc etc. Have their own swearing ceremony, it's a standard oath not a magic spell.

Exactly, the democrats should be one step in front of the republicans, do what they do but do it first.

Right now every democrat representative should assemble at congress and swear Grijalva in themselves. Then they should proceed to start performing congress functions without Johnson or the repubs being present. If the republicans don't want to play by the rules then why should the democrats.

I agree, the “FU make me” strategy seems to work with traditional Democrats. Will it work with gun toting center right Independents however? I am seeing a Blue J6 coming up by the good guys unless someone comes up with something better before then.

I have some thoughts on that:

The thing about Johnson not swearing in Grijalva is that’s it a test for 2026.

If you think they will accept an outcome they don’t like, they will just Grijalva it.

So what’s the plan when the GOP says “we ain’t leaving, fuck you, make us.”
