I'm currently watching a 70s sci-fi serial called the changes. It's about a world where suddenly all machines start emitting a strange noise that makes people go mad.
Writing this on a smartphone in the social media hellscape, it feels incredibly prophetic

Saw Weapons - it was batshit in a very good way. I like that it knows how ridiculous it is and plays into it and tries to top itself with each reveal

I grew up on the metroid games so yes. Took me a while to get into it but once I was in, I lived there for about 25 hours of gameplay

Trying to figure out the point of the incredibly famous reality show about the domestic lives of Ozzy Osbourne and his family slowly drove me off the rails on crazy train, and this video was the result.

Finally got around to watching the Monkey - it's bloody brilliant. I thought Osgood Perkins would be a weird fit for it but his slow and awkward style really suits it. It has this peep show sigh of "life is a crushing disappointment" running underneath it all.

Angel is such a weird show. It starts out as half supernatural cop show, half episodes of Buffy that she's not in, then from season 2 it basically becomes an ongoing vampire soap opera about various love triangles

Watching the Osbournes for the first time in years. It's very far removed from what reality TV is nowadays. The editing is so much tighter. It's more like an improvised sitcom. It also helps that Ozzy was basically a puppy in man form

I think I only ever watched the sja pilot and decided it was good but obviously made for a younger audience and not for me

Hard agree. Feels like viewing figures are the only thing anyone talks about and always get conflated with quality. If popularity was a measure of good then almost nothing I like would have gotten made
