Just remove the subsidies to obsolete technologies, failing programmes and increase taxes on carbon-intensive activities.

Seems now that it’s climate policy or bust.

Even cutting or firing civil servants will be implemented by civil servants.
Cronies wouldn’t know what the existing civil servants know. Recipe for certain failure.

beautiful paradox(es) inherent in this story:

Decarb to 95% FF free grid is in train due to policy decisions 2012-14.
Policy change on net zero won’t lower bills because net zero policy in itself is not leading to rising bills.
UK economy decarb due to deindustrialisation is in train.

It’s one of those shows where it shines thru that the actors were enjoying themselves & seems they genuinely liked each other.

I later found out that many scenes were semi-improvised, that explains the warm, natural vibe. Steve Carell is genius.

I’ve done a quick analysis of Deform policies.

The summary: they don’t work when tested.

The Caerphilly result is what we need to see everywhere at the next election: people coordinating to vote tactically for parties which seek a fairer, kinder, greener country.
Pushing out both those who have betrayed our trust AND those who seek to exploit that betrayal.
