I was meaning to post why I'm skeptical that EA is net-negative for young people (I knew young suicidal ppl, none of them EA, they blamed random stuff, and plausibly would have blamed EA if they had been into that)

I don't know what Yudkowsky himself believes, but I think a minority of rationalists are worried about the basilisk or similar arguments (e.g. post-singularity Altman torturing simulations of all rationalists for having tried to slow him down)
