That one actually matters, if only slightly. When the local radio station plays a tribute to outdated gender norms that feed into rape culture while my young daughters are in the car, I care about that. The classification of a decades-old action film matters to no one.

I just don’t understand how anybody with a uterus could view politics this way.

Baby, It’s Cold Outside shows how slut shaming perpetuates rape culture. A woman who can’t say “yes” without playing hard to get is a woman who can’t say “no” and be taken seriously. I know it was originally supposed to be coy, not rapey, but this antiquated nonsense harms both women and men.

Oh, you’re right - there were *much* worse examples of this phenomenon in the 40s. But none of them keep coming on my car radio here in 2024. I’m not saying this song was evil. I’m just saying it’s time to let it go.

How many other people in this country died by firearms this week? You should do a story on whether there are massive manhunts underway for those killers.

This article helped me discover a new coping strategy - selectively identifying as male. "Come on over! I don't need to tidy up. I'm a man." Walking toward me on the sidewalk and taking up all the space? Better move - I'm a man. Interrupt me in a meeting? I'm gonna keep talking, because I'm a man.

If women can claw back some of the extra 9 hours per week that we spend on household tasks (compared to men), we'll have lots more time to focus on what is important.
