"That's right! Personally, I don't see the purpose of ruling over the humans when us Digimon would be more of a pain if we became rulers.

Seeing how much of a wild west the current digital world is, I don't think we need that in two worlds. I actually prefer to have a purpose that isn't just -

A boisterous laugh, one that he intended to keep down specifically to no interrupt others.

"Quite the opposite honestly, because we have the means to... Well, dominate humanity if we want. But that's never the intention from the majority, we just want to befriend together!"

"Well, our existence stems from humanity unintentionally creating us when they expanded technology. We're from the digital world, which is a world within itself it that makes sense.

When the world was created, digital beings, like me, also were born. And now, we have the ability to enter on Earth!"

"Hah, you're lookin' at it! I'm the manager of this tea shop. I'm sure you know the purposes of Digimon being on Earth.

To further answer that question, I once had a human trainer, back 25 years ago. We separated after I had perished, but I was recoded and brought back to this life."

He shook his head in disappointment.

"It's just so strange to me, primarily due to the fact that some humans that are terrible happen to live longer. What kind of sins are you recording?"

He might as well ask considering the bad deeds of a digimon is never counted.

"Interesting, you say you're not a god, but you're actually doing something where humans need to do good as a reward if they wish to live longer..."

Saffire mentioned, it might feel as some sort of questioning on why its important.

"Yet, humans don't know of you yet?"

"So, you basically watch specific humans and mark each time they've done a bad deed? Then what? You report it to whoever and then they get determined on who ho goes where?"

Saffire wondered, raising an eyebrow at the same time.

"Never heard of anything like this for digimon."

"Pleasure's mine, Ume!"

Saffire said as he sat at the table with the shoukera.

"So, even though I've been on Earth for a few years, enlighten me on what a shoukera is? I remember you once said that you look for... Uh, people to bring with you or something?"

"Yeah, I got a little overzealous on that day, sometimes through my weight on humans can be cute, but then you remind me you're not human at all."

He said, then spoke of his name not long afterwards.

"Saffire Ryuuzaki! I don't even believe I mentioned it that one time."

"No problem!"

It was late in the day, some people were preparing to leave as the shop wouldn't be open for much longer. With less customers, Saffire took the time to speak to Ume.

"You know, I think the last time we met, we didn't start off on the right foot, that should be fixed."

“Our green tea is one of the finest around, I’ll have you a cup and just a second.”

The other workers of the shop were dealing with other customers, so Saffire stepped and and made a up, offering one to Ume.

“Here ya go!”

"Grahaha! I remember you, gosh how long has it been?"

The digimon responded.

"Not many do, but I've been working here for about a year now! At least as a manager, I was a normal barista at my other place of eployment! Came here for some tea, eh?"

Possibly heavy thumps of feet can be heard as the digimon can be heard entering the shop from the back, he has a tablet in hand while wearing a barista apron along with semi-formal clothing.

Was he the manager of the shop? Perhaps Ume might remember exactly who Saffire is.

Peeks around.

"Powernaps for you could be regular sleep cycles for humans."

"Hmm? Embarrassing story, huh?"

At least he assumed with Bernard happened to go silent, but soon after, he would ask if Saffire has help with him.

"Oh yes, of course! I have two other workers along by my side, mostly to help with a multitude of customers, especially when I'm doing paperwork."

"Heck, my best friend is a human and he's also my roommate!"

“You sure? You’ve fallen asleep many times when we are together.”

"Grehehe, well we won't be up for this long. Only for 5 minutes!"

He said still flying in the air, passing over a few buildings like nothing.

Saffire can sense that, that's why he's doing his best to make sure she's safe.

He allows her to wrap her arms around his neck, flapping his wings, he then left his feet and took off.

Now he was soaring into the air while holding onto Mary's arms.
