I'll also say trying to watch the movie afterwards is eye opening to the nature of adaptation. One hour of television = Twelve minutes of movie. Different times.

The use of parentheses is correct. I have a hard time calling it a love story since Lestat is so controlling and abusive on both the lives of Louis and Claudia. I couldn't even call it sexy that's how awful his behavior is.

What separated The Chain from Heroes and Wicked Game is that I was enjoying them, maybe tapping to the rhythm. In the casw of The Chain, I was moving, shaking, dancing, and lip-syncing from start to finish. Can't argue with those results.
