This conversation was probably the most enjoyable conversation I've had with anyone on the topic of work culture and why we operate the way that we do @outseta.com.
Also my first podcast recorded in a Trulli house!

Here's what *actually* keeps me up at night as it pertains to @outseta.com these days.

As Substack announces $100M in new funding, I'm just that much more impressed with what @ghost.org has done with no venture funding.

No sir, I wouldn't consider your work to be "courageous."
You build software, sir.
Yea, it's a pricey little devil and kind of a pain in the ass to get to/from as well unfortunately but we found sort of the ideal school setup for out kids there so off we go.

I couldn't sell the company if I wanted to w/o the team voting to do soโand we all win or lose on the same terms.
Whenever someone says the are "truth seeking" these days, what they are actually communicating is that they are seeking whatever is in their own best interests.

This 4th of July I miss the America that I grew up in.
Alligator Alcatraz? Crypto grifts? A president who sells perfume? Stripping people of their health care?
This ain't it, folks.
We're on this planet for such a speck of time.
Profoundly sad that people who have so much care so little about doing anything that can tangibly improve the lives of those that have far less.
Our customer "Good Good Good" delivers the good news.

June was @outseta.com 's best month ever... by a wide margin.
It's put us in a position to make our biggest investments ever in our team, product, and customers.
More to come!
Good plan!
29.06.2025 17:26 โ ๐ 1 ๐ 0 ๐ฌ 1 ๐ 0I'm on a small island only accessible by boat.
It's been so windy, no boats have been allowed to come or go.
No one can leave to get home. People with trips planned can't get here.
Feels like the beginning of a horror movie, but looks like this.
I think sales is a *much* better use case for AI than customer service.
Sales is mostly information gathering and providing positive reinforcement. The "human" component is often what's most undesirable.
Customer service starts with a problem. And people are desperate for the human component.
Too many people waste years waiting to get the opportunity to show that they can do the work.
But more often than not you get the opportunity by doing the work before you're asked to.
