There is another cable I can repurpose. I'm getting the equipment from the office necessary to make that happen.

The Pell Lake issue persists. There are 2 cables that are compromised. Yesterday late afternoon I climbed the grain elevator and moved the transmitter to a spare cable. It appeared as if it was a good cable but it won't pass more than a trickle of data.

Technician is in route.

Technician is diagnosing the issue. Looks like a hardware issue in Darien.

Good morning all, we have an outage starting in Darien and continuing to Walworth, capron, caladonia and Sharon.

Extreme cold is causing components within the network. To slow down. These devices are on towers and are exposed to wind chills that are more severe than we experience on the ground. I'm evaluating route around options.

Just got confirmation from Paul Thomsen that the power is out. More to follow.

ComEd has just changed the estimated time of repair to 12:45pm for the Alden outage. Technician has been dispatched to the Mansion Heights outage. Estimated arrival 10:30am.

It appears that part of the outage is related to 2 ComEd power outages. One has a estimated repair of 10am and the other is still under investigation.

Good morning, there is an outage at the Mansion Heights tower site. Technician is diagnosing now.

Water from a burst pipe caused a circuit breaker to pop. Now I need to get the equipment to higher ground.

A technician is in route to the Pioneer Rd tower.

We have an outage at the Pioneer Rd tower. It appears to be power related. We will follow up first thing in the morning.

South Rd is down again! Something is going on with the power there that keeps burning out equipment. Preparing replacement equipment and heading there shortly.

Here we go again! Sharon Complete Feed is down again. I knew the switch took a hit out there. I was programming a new one when it wrapped out. Heading there shortly.

Had to kick the equipment at Caledonia in the butt to get it to reconnect. Strange...

Complete Feed is up now. Freaked out battery backup. However Caledonia and Capron is still down. Heading there now.

Sharon tower is down. It feeds Caledonia and Capron. Technician is being dispatched.

Mansion Heights is up!

Heading to Mansion Heights now.5:10 arrival.

Power outage affecting 2 tower sites. Mansion Heights and west Hebron Rd. ComEd says 4:30 restoration.

South Rd is up as of 2:15pm. Babysitting it for a minute.

Device made it. It's programmed and I'm leaving the office shortly.

South Rd down again. Looks like same issue. Replacement part was ordered yesterday. Eta 1pm. As soon as it comes I will get it out there. More to follow.
