Beleef de Lente Kijk live mee met de cams van Beleef de Lente. Geniet van vele ontroerend vogelmomenten.

Here’s a Dutch site with a range of bird cams, active from tomorrow all through spring and summer. There’s a couple of species of owls, storks, meadow birds and a few others www.vogelbescherming.nl/beleefdelente

I don’t have access to the article yet (institutional access is not yet active for content this recent) so I can’t check, but I’m really curious if you mean that there’s no research yet or that research shows that bans don’t work? I can imagine both…

Could also be an actual causality in the data – I can totally imagine forgetting to enter everything I consume on days I take alcohol. So there’s fewer reported calories, although the actual number of consumed calories may well be higher

Screenshot from LinkedIn: “My nutrition app suggested I should try alcohol more often.” The image shows a heading reading “Today’s Highlights (new)” and a subheading “Pattern: Alcohol. Try alcohol more often”, followed by text “We’ve noticed on days you drink alcohol, you tend to keep your total calories lower.” To the right, there’s a full glass of a liquid that looks a bit like computer-generated whisky or rum.

Probably fake, right? Or is it?

I thought about that, but I do want people to build derivative products… For instance by using my tools for informing behavioural change support, and making their own tools suited for their clients / patients / users / whatnot. It’s the explicit use case of training AI that I want to leave out

Question: is there a Creative Commons licence that grants people a full licence to use content, except for the training of an LLM?

Previously, I have used CC BY-SA for some of my work. Is there something like CC BY-SA-NoAI?

‘I’ve lost my friends’: advocacy groups warn Australia’s social media ban risks isolating kids with disabilities Despite the ban’s aim to protect young people, experts are concerned that those in marginalised communities or living with disabilities could lose vital support networks

The impacts of locking under 16 yos from their social media networks are now beginning to bite for those young people who relied on them for social connection

Never mind the jobs you had, tell me five classes you had in college: (well, in uni, same thing surely?)

1. Writing film scenarios
2. Audiovisual communication
3. Persuasion and attitude change
4. Philosophy of the cognitive sciences
5. Interpersonal relations and power

If you see this, don't participate. It's a rigged study by Lisa Littman and unethical researcher J. Michael Bailey meant to undermine access to care. Spread the word.

Hah yes, all the time! 😄 It’s interesting, right? Recently, I was wondering about hoe ‘Fehler’ means something’s missing (‘es fehlt’), whereas a mistake is more like ‘taking the wrong thing’, and ‘vergissing’ in Dutch is ‘guessing wrongly’ - does it say something about cultural differences? 😬

Media Notes for Justification of the Orphan Makers
Do not be quick to put the boot in Those accused of shooting
A peaceful mother in the face (three times)
Her demise may well be justified
Our population now is radicalised have you noticed how women often fail To even obey the voices of the male?)
And this was no run of the mill "mum"
She was a deviant one
A lesbian
And we cannot dismiss
How the sapphic can put men with pistols
Into a panic
She may not have committed the sin of being brown
But her profile page declared a pronoun!
A typical trait
of an enemy of the state
But wait
A little more
She called herself a "poet" too
And women like that are often shrews To take language and create a rhythm Another clue to domestic terrorism
So I say again
From autocue to you
The world is surely a better place
If we shoot love and peace and protest in the face

Minneapolis, Minnesota
For Renee Nicole Good
Killed by ICE. on January 7, 2026
by Amanda Gorman
They say she is no more, That there her absence roars, Blood-blown like a rose.
Iced wheels flinched & froze.
Now, bare riot of candles, Dark fury of flowers, Pure howling of hymns.
If for us she arose,
Somewhere, in the pitched deep of our grief, Crouches our power,
The howl where we begin,
Straining upon the edge of the crooked crater Of the worst of what we've been.
Change is only possible, & all the greater, When the labour
& bitter anger of our neighbors
Is moved by the love
* better angels of our nature.
