Cons:

- VERY narrow travel lanes
- some paths needed maintenance and/or smoother pavement

Pros:
- an expanding network
- lots of shared streets in the city center
- nice biking weather 😎

Own a pickup truck for such mundane reasons? No thank you. I'll use a cargo bike and pocket the leftover transportation budget savings.

If a city has made even moderate investments in infrastructure and utilitarian zoning, breaking free of the chains of car dependency for everything is achievable for many.

Cities need shade and when you pave multiple lanes for cars, you open up more space to create heat islands.

Allocations of finite urban space should prioritize greenery and active transportation, leaving only a tiny sliver for the personal car.

Shade takes time. Think ahead.

Nobody hates living veterans more than Republicans. Dead veterans they can exploit in videos. But living veterans with opinions and medical needs are literally offensive to conservatives.

Every time I meet someone and they learn that I am in transportation, they say “you need to fix congestion on so and so road”.

Every time my response is the same: “I have the solution, you just won’t like it.”
