I love my mom. I’m so lucky that I grew up in an environment that showed me what a strong, kind, responsible adult looks like. She’s beautiful, smart, patient, generous, and so so capable. She is my greatest role model.

… and rain. It’s cruel. The way our country discards people who so clearly need help breaks my heart over and over again. Some of the kindest souls in the world are unhoused people and they should not have to suffer.

I live in a city with a substantial homeless population. When I see an unhoused person losing their mind in the middle of the sidewalk, it never fails to dampen my mood. It hurts my heart that our society forces its most at-risk members to pick through garbage for food, to sleep outside in the cold🧵

I’m back! Been on Instagram again for awhile and it’s getting to be too much. Meta apps, especially Threads, seem to thrive off of negativity for engagement. Time to disengage.

Trump treats government like a business (he’s not very good at business either) and the problem with that is you’re not just losing money when things go wrong. It’s clear he doesn’t consider the consequences if his half-baked plans fall through. He just assumes things are gonna go his way.

Trump spent the first half of that meeting puffing his chest and touting about his amazing ability to make deals. He talks about moral responsibility to end the war, yet he wants to do it in a way that appeases Putin? That’s not peace, that’s caving to the whims of a lunatic.

It’s crazy to me how Trump talks about finding a solution that works for everybody (as if this isn’t entirely Putin’s fault), refuses to offer guarantees on a ceasefire that’s been repeatedly broken, and then has the gall to lecture Zelenskyy about respect.

Then she’s got it, but not on this. What she’s discussing here is a non-issue, especially when these same rural Americans are happy to vote in favor of erasing things like gender and race theory from our schools.

Absolutely. Wrightson’s ability to channel light through lines and negative space is astounding. I’m never not amazed by his ability to depict things like cloth, glassware, or wood grain with ink. Incredible.

I downloaded Instagram for a couple days and it didn’t take long for me to be reminded why I deleted it. The amount of hatred and negativity, not to mention the constant exploitation of creatives on Meta platforms are insane. Mark Zuckerberg is one of the worst.
