We had people pretend to be bouncers. Pretend to be karaoke KJs. Pretend to be bartenders.

Life has gotten very busy, and seeing my friends in person has been a lot more difficult.

I've been thinking of hosting a Discord with a similar premise.

A guest asked my name.

Me: "It's Irish."

Him: "You sure? It doesn't sound like it's English."

Then he bothered other guests with his politics.

I'm thinking of making a Discord where we post links to political news and everyone responds with some variation of "AAAAAAAAAAAAH".

With food prices going up, there's a high chance some of your favorite restaurants are about to go under.

In 2023, LA had record closures.

In 2024, that record got broken again.

Adventures in a Local Dive Bar #1

Someone is playing exclusively Disney songs and the whole bar (all 40 somethings) is doing a witch hunt.

It feels like a game of werewolf. Someone is lying.

Imagine telling teachers they should be willing to take bullets for their students and then being surprised when they stop ICE from kidnapping them. 🙄

This last year working in DTLA:

My Car: broken into, camera gear stolen

My Coworker's Car: smashed by a drunk driver

My Other Coworker's Car: broken into, carpentry tools stolen

Zero cops came to talk to us. Not with the emergency number. The non-emergency number. 911.

Wtf was that raise for?

I know a few people going through sobriety journeys and I want to put it out there.

If you slip up, you are not starting over. Don't give up. It's not all or nothing.

If you were sober 300 days and then had a drink. You're not at day zero.
