Also there’s apparently a more than 1 percent chance AI will take over and end human existence so it’s a race to see whether human existence is ended before AI fully automates radiology. I’m only half joking

Geoffrey Hinton has doubled down on medical images being read better by AI. They probably will one day but AI will have trouble automating all the things most radiologists do on a day to day basis - giving verbal opinions, arranging and protocolling scans, performing biopsies and ultrasound.
