02.03.2026 01:06 β π 2 π 0 π¬ 1 π 0Lots of planning to get through a long winter looking that good. Squirrels know things
02.03.2026 01:06 β π 10 π 0 π¬ 1 π 0Our locals cache lots of things, but especially berries
02.03.2026 00:26 β π 1 π 0 π¬ 1 π 0I backed away slowly
02.03.2026 00:26 β π 3 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0Iβm sure the squirrel is furious but you really canβt tell π
02.03.2026 00:25 β π 4 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0Not many left these days so the caches are important to defend! I backed away slowly

Things can change so quickly this time of year
01.03.2026 18:09 β π 2 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0A male common redpoll on a frosty spruce tree branch with a warm yellow orange background. He is a small finch with brown stripes, a red stained chest and a bright red cap. He also has an adorable little yellow beak!
This winter, we had hoped to see the large flocks that an irruption can bring, but that hasnβt happened.
But I think the non stop chattering of all the pine siskins finally drew the attention of some redpolls!
This male Common Redpoll was busy foraging in the branches on a frosty morning!
