Yet the promo is minimal at best on EAs end; it’s the community hyping them up and encouraging people to use their codes. Idk this is gross to me. I’m fuming.

I could be missing something critical here, but as I understand things now with the information I have, I hate this. I think it’s ridiculous and I think EA is (and has been) ruining this franchise. This is a soft launch for the future of the sims.

They do all the work, get a cut, but EA pockets most of the profits and they didn’t need to pay a full time employee to do so. Hiring contractors in that way is to save money. It’s greedy and INSANE from a multibillion dollar company like EA.

I need to explicitly say I wholeheartedly do not support this. Don’t misconstrue that with not supporting CC creators/modders because I do.
EA taking 70% of the sales in the marketplace is insane behavior. It’s the TS3 store all over again, but using creators to generate the content.
It’s just gluttonous and greedy. I can’t stand it.
