Are the vivid hallucinations real? Are the visions of versions of her who succumbed to the darkness a view of what she could be, or is she insane? Nightmares bleed into reality so readily some nights that she can't be certain the inner demons she's even fighting are the right ones.

The Inner Beast is definitely real, but Cirice's seeming manifestation of it as voices of apparent ancestors (and late her mother) in her head baffles the rest of her tribe--and is what spurs her parents to train her the way they did. Maybe it's not her Beast; maybe it's psychosis.

It's no wonder that (after some fraught meetings to decide if they can even trust someone this dangerous) the Scions decided the best way to use her was as a weapon pointed in a direction. Between the Echo and her hatred of Garleans they could at least trust (and be grateful) she's on their side.

She was taught to dispatch without emotion, but effectively. Sometimes, that means brutality, means viscera, means carving a path straight through enemy soldiers or making sure something is DEAD dead. That she does all of it with an empty look across her blood-splattered face terrifies allies.

Cirice is remorseless, and focused almost to her detriment; the calls of allies for help or to retreat often miss her ears entirely. At a distance, she's a precise killing machine; up close, she's savage in ways made more unsettling by her lack of emotion behind it.
