it's nice to have Basira back now too. she has so many highs & lows for me, esp in s4 mostly lows imho but damn I'm always happy to have her back. it's nice to witness harmless banter between her and Jon again instead of the constant animosity from before 😭

Miyazaki pulled some visual imagery from B, for example the big sword monuments we see in ER, Guts' greatsword is a weapon that exists in ER, and there's occasionally a bit of surface level overlap in some concepts/ideas but from what i can see it's never to the point where I would call it

to yell "WOW this (dark souls/elden ring) thing is JUST like ber//serk!!!" when really it isn't 😭😭 unless it's all in the other 300 chapters that i will never touch bc ohmygod i hated every second i wasted on this story 😂

people like comparing it to souls games a lot because it's common knowledge that Miyazaki has been inspired by ber//serk quite a bit so i wanted to see how closely they can actually be compared!
from what I've seen in those 80ish chapters...... it's very surface level inspo and people are too quick
