As a District, we know that the way we turn away from fascism is by showing up for our neighbors and building community power, block by block.
Some people enter local politics because of their passion for policy, and some because their community calls them to serve. With over 1500 members in our network, there's a unique story for each one on how they ended up as a local representative.

The cost of essentials like groceries, utilities, & rent have gone up, but wages have failed to keep up.
Our new policy agenda is for elected officials at all levels to make life more affordable.
The most significant local impact of the second Trump administration hasn't been lowering costs, but instead its barbaric immigration enforcement plan.
Across our network, our members have seen families ripped apart to meet the racist demands of this administration. Hear their stories π

On our last day together, we confronted some of the hard realities of what it means to govern as a progressive. How we wield power on an unequal playing field to lift up marginalized communities.
Our conversations were difficult, but the learning in community was critical.

From strategy sessions and community building, to site visits and state chapter meetups - our first two days were jam packed!
Together, with over 500 attendees from across the country, we learned how to build power, share space, and stand up for our shared values.

Our theme this year was "Organize Together. Govern For All."
As the Trump Administration continues to deliberately harm our communities, it is more important than ever to organize together so that we can use our governing power to uplift and protect all our communities.
