It sucks, but the bitter truth is that a lot of these games would have never been funded if it wasn't for the pandemic investment boom. The money dried up years ago, so they have to sink or swim.

I also read the Southern Reach trilogy this year (working on the 4th now), and there is CLEARLY some inspirational overlap or crossover with Remedy's recent games, I'd love to know the details.

Alan Wake 2: The Lake House DLC is absolutely brilliant, a story about corporate efforts to replace creativity with an algorithm (sound familiar?). I can't wait for Control 2.
