Supreme Court strikes down Trump's tariffs. A stitched together majority, as expected.

Proposed cuts to libraries, parks, CUNY, housing + health, while keeping NYPD + Corrections intact; proposed real property tax increases disproportionately affecting Black owners + most tenants; homeless encampment sweeps.
Why is Z proposing these regressive measures, and how best can we respond? π§΅
I was just reading that the top 19--NINETEEN--households now have a combined net worth of $3.4 trillion. you could do a decade of, say, paid leave with that

A young violinist was nervous about meeting with Jeffrey Epstein due to his 2008 child sex abuse conviction. Epstein reassured her by noting his friendship with @bardcollege.bsky.socialβs Leon Botstein, and set up a dinner between Botstein and the musician. She soon became one of Epsteinβs victims.

GOP failed to flip ANY Dem district in 2025 (Dems flipped a lot), & none in 2026 so far. This was as clear an opening as you can imagine. Big blow to Rs.
This was one of the 20 races I identified as important to watch in February.
Details: boltsmag.org/whats-on-the...
NEWS: Democrat Chasity Martinez has won the Louisiana HD-60 special election, defeating Republican Brad Daigle and holding the seat.
Martinez won 63%β37%. Trump carried the district by 13 points in 2024.
Another major Democratic overperformance.
Early returns in Louisianaβs special election:
The Dem candidate is leading 58.5% to 41.5%. Thatβs with a third of the vote in.
Context: this is a Dem-held seat but in a district TRUMP carried by 13%, so has been a big/obvious GOP target. Stay tuned.
βEpstein classβ is good framing
