I’ve not used social media for quite a while now, and now when I think about posting something I realise I don’t have much interesting to say, confirming what anyone who knows me has probably thought for many years

I’ve not been on social media for a while, but it’s good to see that the world has calmed down and is in a healthy state whilst I’ve been away, isn’t it?

A new home for the College In July 2025 we secured a new home for the College, the Faculty of Intensive Care Medicine and the Faculty of Pain Medicine.

I’m incredibly proud to have played a small part in identifying our new home @rcoanews.bsky.social

Sustainability was a central theme, and this fits the bill nicely, with room for even more improvements in the future

The news about Diogo Jota is absolutely heartbreaking. One of the best players Wolves have ever had, and clearly a thoroughly nice guy to boot

It does truly currently feel like Don’t Look Up was a documentary using a meteorite instead of climate change

The new Wolves shirt is an absolute work of art, and hopefully not the only thing I’m proud of next season

Turns out you can get a quite nasty partial thickness burn on your leg from a silicone dog lead. Who’d have thought it?

Why is it that when you’re just at the point where you’ve nearly saved up for something that you want, the roof of the house needs work doing on it and swallows all of the money in one go? 😡

For those doubting the importance of sustainability in healthcare - since our nitrous oxide consensus statement came out last year, we’ve used 9.8 million fewer litres of manifold nitrous, equivalent to nearly 6 million kg of CO2

(Or a trip to the moon and back 60 times, if you prefer…)

Another week started, another big healthcare sustainability research project in the offing

I’d be annoyed at how much work there is to do if I didn’t enjoy trying to make a positive difference so much

It appears - to the surprise of nobody - that the independent DDRB aren’t releasing their independent report (that they’ve come to independently) but giving it to the government

Did I mention that they’re completely independent?

I feel like all of these together are the collective work of several people’s careers on their own. But I’m going to try my best to play my own small part in fixing things

Does anyone have any experience of either the kindle scribe or remarkable? I’m looking for something to make note taking easier and digitised (although I can’t really afford either of them)

Are either of them any good, or more bother than they’re worth?
