The overwhelming majority of soy grown in this country is animal feed. It's like 80%, + ~15% used for cooking oil or industrial applications. Only about 5% is consumed by humans. Animal ag is wildly inefficient. I don't remember where I read it, but with cows at least it's ~10lbs feed per 1lb meat.

I know (and know of) SO many people whose favorite OCs started off as TTRPG characters.

Y'know, now that I think about it, my Pathfinder character Link is my first furry OC who isn't just "me, but more raccoon shaped." One I put lots of thought into making!

I should eventually do something about that. Like write a short story, commission art, RP, or whatever furry nerds do, haha!

In fact, therianism and veganism are directly linked for me. I started embracing both around the same time, because the two just make so much sense together. Embracing veganism made me feel closer to nonhumans which brought me to therianism, and likewise I couldn’t ever be therian and NOT be vegan.
