Day 13 was two hours of carrying Rufus around a water park.
Day 14 was dancing and carrying the boys around Alton Towers
Day 15 dancing and back to my evening circuits.

Henry was really unwell yesterday, so to cheer him up, Rufus kept bringing him balls. Anyone who knows Rufus knows that these are his comfort items, so giving them to Henry was a massive act of kindness.

Today was softplay, with Henry better, they didn't leave each other's side!

Bit of a thought today from recent posts I've seen, parents we only need to focus on what is best for our kids. So much information overload these days. You're doing great!

Life has been busy these last few weeks, as always you never know what's going to be thrown at you.

But the important part is that the boys are happy, getting out and having fun. It's a belated Easter post, they had a great time with family exploring a new place and at softplay!

Another great day at the @railwaymuseum.bsky.social, this time accompanied by uncle and grandparents!

They were all so busy building with blocks I may have had a nap, which did not go unnoticed by my parents 🤣

Another milestone Rufus now has a big boy bedding and looks very snug in there!

After being ill most the week, including Alix, I'm glad the weekend is finally here, and we're mostly better. This means our plans of play cafe and railway museum can go ahead for the boys, making up for a mediocre week.

We did manage the park a few times though which they loved

Rufus' nurse goes above and beyond to make him as happy as possible during clinics. Setting up the room, with cbeebies ready to go, and all his favourite toys on the bed. Always bubbles at the ready too! @leedshospitals.bsky.social

I live for days like this...

Two years ago today Rufus was admitted to BRI hospital. A rough 10 days, with a lot of heated discussions, as we fought to ensure Rufus had what he needed.

Luckily, he's not been readmitted since and has gone from strength to strength.

Unfortunately, we still bear the scars.

We always try to collect the advertorials and campaign materials that Rufus is part of for LDShospcharity. Well they've been collecting some for him too!

Dw never left, just a busy half term with the family 🤣

So we survived half term, I'd say with sanity intact, but that left the building years ago 🤣

Somehow end up busier during school breaks then when working. It's great to see the boys grow up and watch them slowly become the individuals, with their personailities, they will be.

Henry and Rufus wanted to hold hands on the way home today, can't think of a more heartwarming sight...

The bond these two have is so clear to see, even when they're scrapping like brothers 🤣

Rufus luckily bounced back Saturday, but we have then been hectic since then, sorry!

We went from a happy chappy at clinic to a very unwell and poorly chap today...

Why is it he always becomes unwell after going to clinic and never before 🤣

Rufus went to a birthday party today for a friend at nursery. His first ever party that he was invited to, not because of Henry or because of us (mum & dad), but he was invited.

He had a great time with mummy and was really nice for him to be 'normal' amongst people for a change

And honestly, I wouldn't trade it all back, would you?

Only good parents worry, am I doing this right, I shouldn't have said that to them.

Be easier on yourself and if they're happy, safe and full of love, you're doing a great job 👍

I'll be in the ball pool if you need me 🤣

With young kids long gone are the days that the weekends are for resting...

Sleep ins replaced by dance parties.
Meal and drinks out replaced by softplay.

You're exhausted, wanting 5 minutes to yourself. But remember you'll never get this time back, where you're their world...

We had a relaxing Sunday, to start this off we went on a walk for our breakfast, walked 45 minutes each way. Henry bossed it as always and this was Rufus’ first time without a pram, few occasional carries, bur safe to say he bossed it too! They also held hands sometimes

The boys loved their trip to the @railwaymuseum.bsky.social last weekend, especially the Wonderlab, which we tried for the first time! They've already been asking to go again, so I wonder what we might be doing next weekend 🤣

Here's hoping that Rufus may be able to come off creon this year, all thanks to kaftrio helping to repair the damage that cystic fibrosis has done to his pancreas.

We never would have dreamed of taking Rufus somewhere 'busy' last Christmas, trying to keep him as safe as possible...

Yet this year, we had no worry taking the boys to @altontowers.bsky.social for the Santa Sleepover, and they loved every second! All thanks to Kaftrio...

Family night out to a light trail, closest we'll get to a disco/nightclub for a while 🤣

Although, in all honesty, I prefer this!

We also got some new elf names, feel free to find yours!

Anyone else starting to feel Christmasy?

Personally, I'm not a Christmas 'type', could take it or leave it. But darn it, kids have a way of changing that. As seeing it through their eyes really has a way of bringing the magic back...

Rufus' communication has come a long way in the last few months, demonstrating the level of understanding he's shown for a while now.

Each morning we tell Rufus it's time for his various medicines, he has liquid, tablets and granules in syringes and his food...
