Per @jenniferjjacobs.bsky.social, DOD presented Trump with plans for strikes in Venezuela yesterday, including on the ground. Astonishing to see the U.S. on the brink of another regime-change invasion with essentially none of the pre-2003 effort to rationalize it domestically and internationally.

This isn’t even the stuff they’re trying to actually stop from getting out.

The fact that this, and every other Trump pardonee who has subsequently broken the law, has not ended Trump's political career, that it barely even registers on the national discourse, underlines just how far we are from a functioning democracy that values accountability.

I wish their message were: we were fighting for healthcare affordability, but now Trump is withholding food stamps, so now we've made the best deal we can to stop his effort to increase hunger dramatically.

It's not a win for anyone, but I can see hunger taking priority over healthcare costs.

Maybe the take is that (a) people think Trump is out of control; and (b) people like Dems when we're taking a stand and fighting for what we believe in - as we have been for the last month.
