My new years #edh resolution is that I can only build version 1 of a new deck by using cards I already own, even if "key" pieces are missing (Commanders can be proxied).

Do we rekon that Daybound//Nightbound was being primed as a #mtglorwyn mechanic, but because it bombed, they went with the activated transform instead?
It's kind of sad that the day/night symbols aren't on the Lorwyn cards, even though the mechanic is obviously clunky
#mtglorwyn is so fun! Played Pre-release and went to battle with W/G Kithkin. Although the real MVP was Eirdu//Isilu that won almost every game it was played (which was alot, very lucky draws).
Def gonna be my first #edh build of the year, may even have a deck ready for Monday night games...
Got it all sorted ready for my big divider boxes and then found another misc bundle box worth of cards...that's a job for another day I guess. But the decks got dismantled and thanked for their service, which is the main thing.

Here's my "hot" take for 2025
They ruined the aesthetic of the Sultai and Abzan clans.
One's purple with gold and green, the other is green with gold and purple. If some of these cards didn't have flavour text/watermark you wouldn't know who was who.
To be clear, I loved Dragon storm. But the made very strange choices for these clans.
What happened to the Abzan scaled armour?
Nothing in the lore accounts for this huge shift. The other clans didn't change as dramatically with the arrival of the spirit dragons...
