It was great to be in Bradwell last week to celebrate over 200 years of tradition at the Bradwell Well Dressing, meet with the Parish Council, and hold a constituency surgery.

As your MP, I’ve seen first-hand just how vital these services are in our communities. I’m proud to support this Labour Government’s commitment to dignified, compassionate end-of-life care.

This is the largest ever investment in hospices, and it will make a real difference to patients and families at the hardest of times.

I'm really pleased to share that Ashgate Hospice, Blythe House, and Treetops Hospice, all of which support residents here in Derbyshire Dales, will receive a share of £75 million in Government funding.

I was pleased to meet constituents in Parliament as part of The Climate Coalition’s #ActNowChangeForever lobby.

We spoke about the urgent need for action to tackle climate change, restore nature, and invest in green jobs and sustainable farming.

I met with Eddie Crouch, Chair of the British Dental Association, to discuss the NHS dental crisis nationally, and locally.

Practices across Derbyshire Dales are closing their NHS lists, or going fully private, leaving many residents unable to access routine care.

It’s time football gave back to the heroes who made the game what it is.

I’m especially grateful to my constituent, former Arsenal and Leeds goalkeeper John Lukic, for raising the issue of CTE – Chronic Traumatic Encephalopathy – a devastating, progressive brain disease affecting far too many ex-players.
