From last night, I may get a clear on Aether soon, we'll see. If I can get to doing this song well, taking on 16's should be easier, as well as help build the foot/read speed needed to reach 18's.

Until then, gonna keep aiming for Flare EX clears on 13's/14's to try to get Sun rank on Singles.

Dang, I hadn't realized the tutorial for DDR got this intense; I apparently can't even clear what's considered easy stuff now, what the heck.

My knees are giving some real Murtaugh vibes while playing tonight. trying to get back to clearing 16s and working on 17s. This is the only 17 I've ever cleared...once. 😅 But already catching back up, with getting a decent way through the slow-down portion before ITGMania said "nah, you done fam".

So glad you made it! I need to get there myself one day.

Also, I got some random things with DDR done here in Atlanta so far, but most importantly, I'm slowly making my way back to where I was at my peak back in the day. Cleared Come to Life for the first time since World released, and I also got a new close-to-PFC record on EDM Jumpers on Doubles.

This may be one of the most hilarious unintended side effects of the Premium Customizer; the power of anime tiddies knows no limits. 😂

I now have the perfect squishy stress-ball for playing Clair Obscur.

TFW when you set up a new ITGMania install and totally forget to mess with the audio sample rate and you can't figure out why everything seems off... 🤦 MUCH more consistent now that I have that fixed.

In other news, playing sessions starting at 4am is hard some days. 😅

For what it's worth, though, even from my limited exposure to you in person, I feel you're quite cute and lovely. I hope you eventually fully believe that for yourself, too. 🫶

Social conditioning is hard to break, and we're our own worst critics, a messy combo to fight through (and probably why so many folks *still* want at least some amount of external validation even after realizing what you have). I absolutely relate hard, as I often criticize myself extremely hard.

It may not be on an official machine, but at least I cleared it for the first time in forever on Singles. Really wanna try it again on a real machine, since I'm not certain if I was mashing way too early or the sync was off, hooray open-source dance game. 😅 #ddrworld #itgmania

Also realizing how much I miss Doubles and feeling more motivated than ever; I get why competitive DDR is focused on Singles, but with the meta of Singles being so focused on minimizing foot movement, Doubles is just so much more satisfying to play for me, especially when a Doubles chart has flow.

Who's my role model for DDR training? Goku, training to take on Frieza. Did mostly no-bar doubles on lower difficulties yesterday with a 40lb weighted vest. Accuracy scores weren't great, but those will come back as I build up strength again.

Now that I'm on the waitlist for Doubles for MOTL 6, it's time to focus on Doubles for a few months. I hate that I used to be able to clear 16s no problem and could no-bar clear 14s, but now I gotta build that skill back up. 😅 At least getting good at Doubles again will help my Singles play.

Hoping to be able to get in on DDR Doubles for MOTL 6 when registration opens again; I think I stand a better chance at being competitive there versus Singles. Though really, I'd do DDR Classic and do 1x speed and no-bar, but I think the waitlist is longer than those that are in it. 😅

I've been curious to watch it, I've heard the reception for this movie is, uh, highly polarizing, either it's loved or hated 😅

It's taken WAY more effort and more trips to stores than I expected, but the garage now has an A/C unit in the window. Next step is to put up an insulating curtain in front of the garage door, and it should be very nice to play DDR/ITG on my B2L pads out there at any time of day. :D

Also, this is certainly the most interesting news for rhythm gamers. If we can get full online feature parity with Japan/US Round 1 cabs in more places than just Round 1, that would be super-cool, even if Konami ramped up the money greed with more subscription things.

I didn't do anything great with StepManiax last night, but I at least am learning working on learning the quirks of the game on Full mode. Pad crosses are weird, and I didn't realize difficulties like 22 and up can yield multi-arrow pad stomps with one foot.

Finally got to one of the monthly meet-ups for rhythm gamers in TN! Most left to get food for now. 😅 Didn't being the right shoes for Dance Rush because of rushing to work this morning, so that will be a next-time thing. For now, StepManiax will work. 😁

Holy shit, Game Galaxy might be the reason I get better at Dance Rush after all. They are still trying to get it working (the PC in it is having problems) but, when they do, OH HELL YES.
