This tracks, even for an upper-middle-class household in the 1960s. Dad was a trial lawyer but we took in boarders for extra $, and when my mom knew she had to go back to work to make ends meet, she successfully fought my dad over it. (Good thing, too, because he dropped dead a year later.)

This is right. And people hate to hear it, but Joe Biden’s single most important task was to Trump-proof the US.

His task was to destroy the Republican Party to punish them for Trump, salt the earth over them, and implement big structural reforms to stop future R minority extremism.
And he failed.
