This one is about X finding his human body overwhelming, because he's never had to experience emotion/sensation so strongly before. Physical proximity with the Archivist grounds him. There is no romantic/sexual desire in this interaction, only a sensual bond.

There was never any temptation to make them a couple and they will never be. This is an AU of the main AU, so X findinv himself a human body isn't canon within the main AU. That's the first thing.
