One of the things that really bothers me downtown is seeing garbage bins sitting wide open and trash on the sidewalks.

We’re fixing that.

New lockable bins are being installed along Main St & Portage Ave to help keep downtown cleaner. If they work as well as we expect, we’ll look to add more.

I always say downtown should matter to all Winnipeggers, regardless of what part of town they live in. Unfortunately, some people who live in the suburbs don’t think like that, so it’s important to find ways to help them make the connection. I hope that helps clarify things.
