Review: Scream 7 sometimes feels like a Great Value version of what we’ve seen before with a bizarre dose of bad tech and an even worse killer reveal.

Scream 7 had a huge weekend but that was because of the good will of the franchise, including the last two entries, which were critical and comercial successfully. Like every other bad sequel than comes out that opens big. After the rush to see it, word of mouth will cut its legs off.

Lower first Monday than Scream 6 ($3.6MM) and Scream 5 ($3.83MM).

Definitely a sign of weaker legs for sure. It’s a bit more embarrassing when held up against 5 because that was during COVID and you had lots of uncertainty about safety at theaters

You can't talk about Scream 7 with out talking about Melissa Barrera and the studio is to blame for that. They made it about politics when they fired her ovet her political views. And spare me "The critics are not critiquing the movie" nonsense. It's a Strawman argument and you know it. 1/2
