Today I need to edit four Looney Tunes cartoons into the CN VHS Project so today, let's highlight the wife's favourite Looney stars!!

Yeah, it was just a bit too dark for me. It's not Heavenly Puss levels of bad but at the same time, dude, turn on the lights...

Fortunately, it was mostly me upping the exposure levels and adjusting contrast to match. It's not perfect but it'll do...

Epic Movie was what make me realize my wife's family has horrible taste in movies. The last time I was in their house (2020 maybe?), they were watching this and howling with laughter. The Mrs and I head home and I tell her "That's one of the biggest pieces of shit I've ever seen..."

Yeah like I said, from a distance. Besides at this point, the odds of Muppets joining Fortnite ain't super crazy. Anything could happen at this point...

I think the funniest one I saw was someone modding Kermit into GTA...

And for Christ's sake, distribute them all worldwide. There were so many of those DVD sets that just didn't make it to the UK...

All in all, a productive few hours, especially since I had to color correct one short. Time for bed. Good night everybody!!

Update for the day: Made it two thirds of the way through Tom and Jerry and I've run out of steam. Current progress takes us up to 1:28pm. Looney Tunes takes over at 2pm so I figure we've got time for maybe three more T&J shorts. I have five left on the list so I'll need to drop two...

I remember friends showing me TADC's pilot a year or so ago and I just didn't get it so I never watched the rest. Beyond that, I never talk about anything I don't watch...

OK, I just wanna say most of the Golden Era Anthology prints I'm using for this look great... That being said, Cue Ball Cat is a bit too dark for my liking so I'm having to do some amateur color correction.

Golden Era does a lot of really good things but it ain't perfect...

I imagine them going against Hitler would no doubt get rave applause in the early 40s but on the other hand, would they even care about Hitler attempting world domination? They'd be too busy trying to kill each other. To keep it in character, whatever they do against him would have to be indirect...

Thinking about it, what could T&J really do if they went against the Nazis? They're my favourite Golden Age characters but at the same time, they're written very thinly compared to Bugs Bunny and Donald Duck. Their personalities are a lot of fun but they're limited and completely baked into them...

Rewatching Yankee Doodle Mouse, I'm reminded that while Looney Tunes and Disney cranked out dozens of wartime cartoons apiece, Tom and Jerry only did one...

Does Flanders still own the house? I think they just kinda swept away the plot elements of this episode once the credits rolled and I'm pretty sure it's never brought up again...

How tricky would that even be at this point? I imagine the studios would want at least co-ownership of any and all characters before agreeing to distribution? I remember Warner Bros trying to do this with DePatie-Freleng when they pushed for new Looney Tunes characters before Dave and Friz walked...

Haven't edited Tom and Jerry yet. Had a massload of dishes and housework to do this afternoon and then the wife and I lost several hours to Pokopia. I'll get to the cat and mouse tonight. I've been mostly skimming the TV shows so far but you can bet your ass that I'm gonna watch every second of T&J!
