Generations are absolete at this point because the 1997-2005 portion Gen Z ripped and burned CDs. The car tape that connected to people's iPods/Phones via aux chord weren't a huge thing until 2014ish? This made CDs not fully obsolete and if you had a car with only a CD player you couldn't use the 📼

Just watched the new Knives Out and I think it's really important you know that the scene in the Seminary's Gym is filmed in the same place Rick Astley filmed the music video for Never Gonna Give You Up.

I saw the window tracery and immediately made my friends pause the film so I could tell them.

Anti-Everything is a Punk band from Trinidad and Tobago. I'd argue they're like Speed but instead of a flute, you have steel drum moments. Of course, they're not entirely like Speed and they just share the one thing I love hearing in Punk music. Unexpected instruments. The sound of this album is coherent yet takes you from Punk to Folk (examples: Welcome Yard and Letter to the Prime Minister) to a Metal song (True Love). Sounds don't matter as much as the message in Punk music. True Love does speak of issues left over by colonialism and wanting more fair governments in the world. Authentic in both messages and soundscape, I'd heavily recommend this album.

The latest reference was in 2011, Dr Jekyll and Mr Fame by Black Cards (better known as Bebe Rexha and Pete Wentz from Fall Out Boy). I'm ?!?! So baffled!!! This is like common knowledge!!!

I saw someone not know who Dr Jekyll and Mr Hyde was... This is like... A classic literary work from the Frankenstein era of Horror. Referenced in many forms of media ever since it's creation in the 1880s. I've seen references to it all my life like Frankenstein and the axe murderer of New Orleans!

Please tell me people born before 2010 know classic English literary work from the US and UK and NOT just people born before 2002. I would wish for everyone in the Anglosphere to along with stories from each of us but... I have low hopes.

I'm making playlists of songs I "rolled" on my retro tv for each year and I saw the worst spray tan when rolling songs for 2005 I do not want to romanticize the 2000s anymore. Also... Kinda concerned that she's underweight.

The video's creator, solid Pop artist. I don't really care for her music but she worked hard and is flipping off Spotify. I give her kudos for that but saying Indie and Independent threw me off because those words mean endearing deep sewer music with a shoegaze pedal to me.

This is 110% why Gen Z are already old people because I saw a well established Pop artist and was like "nah, you don't sound like your music was made in an obscure studio or bedroom and using old ass video equipment for music videos with shitty filters. That's not Indie."
